Amrita Television Onam Contest – Terms & Conditions

Effective date: 22 Aug 2025

Organizer: Amrita Television, Gandhi Nagar, Vazhuthacaud, Thiruvananthapuram – 695014, (“Organizer”, “we”, “us”).

1) Contest Period & Windows

Live contest runs 26 Aug 2025 – 07 Sep 2025 (both days inclusive).
Special daily bucket: 27 & 28 Aug 2025 count together for one “daily winner”.
Test windows (22–23 Aug 2025) are for dry-runs; Sponsor may treat any prizes during tests as promotional at its discretion.
Authoritative time is Indian Standard Time (IST) per our server clock. Each hour has one (1) answer window; the start time within the hour is random. The window ordinarily lasts 3 minutes. Sponsor may extend certain test windows (e.g., 30 minutes on 22 Aug 2025).

2) Eligibility

Open to individuals 18 years or older residing in India. (If you want under-18s: replace this with “minors must have parental/guardian consent”.)
Employees, contractors, and production partners of Sponsor involved with the contest (and their immediate families/households) may be ineligible.
Void where prohibited by law.

3) How to Enter

Watch Amrita TV; when the QR appears, scan it or visit the contest page: amritatv.arshnadam.com/onam-contest.
Complete one-time registration (name and mobile; email optional) and submit your answer to the current slot’s question within the visible timer.
One entry per person per slot. You may participate in multiple slots per day and on multiple days.
Network delays and caching are outside our control; server-side gate decides if your entry falls within the active window. Our server time is final.

4) Winners & Prizes

Hourly Winners: For each slot, one (1) winner is selected at random from all correct entries for that slot.

Daily Winner:
– For each day, one (1) winner is selected at random from all correct entries received that day.
– For 27 & 28 Aug 2025, a single combined daily winner was drawn from both days’ correct entries.
– A daily winner for 29 Aug 2025 was also declared under the earlier rules.
– From 30 Aug 2025 onward (effective date of this update):
• If all 12 slots are answered correctly on that day, participants with all 12 correct will qualify.
• If fewer than 12 slots are answered correctly, the highest number of slots answered correctly (“Top Slots”) will be considered.
• Participants who answered all “Top Slots” correctly will qualify.
• A daily winner will be selected at random only if at least two (2) participants qualify.
• If only one (1) participant qualifies, no daily winner will be declared for that day.

5) Verification & Awarding

Winners may be contacted via mobile/email within 10 days and must respond within 5 days with KYC (PAN Card & Adhaar Card or any other age/address proof). Non-response or failed verification may lead to disqualification.
Sponsor may publish/telecast winner names, city, and photos & videos for promotional purposes without additional compensation, subject to law.

6) Fair Play

Automated/bulk entries, scripts, bots, multiple fake accounts, or any attempt to tamper with the contest or evade limits is prohibited and may lead to disqualification.
Sponsor may disqualify entries that are offensive, unlawful, or violate third-party rights.
It shall be the prerogative right of the Sponsor to decide the sequence / order of the contest and the contestants will not have any right to question the said act.
Winners will be decided by the sponsor and the said decision shall be final.

7) Technical & Broadcast

Schedule and on-air QR times may change without notice due to programming or technical reasons.
Sponsor is not responsible for failures caused by internet, device, browser, caching/CDN, or third-party platform outages or any other technical issues. If a material outage occurs, Sponsor may reschedule or modify the contest at its discretion.

8) Privacy

Personal data is processed to run the contest, determine winners, prevent fraud, and comply with law. See the Privacy Policy for details.

9) Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Sponsor and its affiliates are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses arising from participation, except for personal injury or death caused by negligence or other liability that cannot be excluded by law.

10) Changes & Termination

Sponsor may modify, suspend, or cancel any aspect of the contest (including rules, schedule, or prizes) if required for security, legal, or operational reasons, or due to force majeure.

11) Governing Law & Disputes

Governed by the laws of India. Courts at Thiruvananthapuram shall have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to applicable law.
