This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect information during the Onam Contest.

1) Data We Collect

Registration & Entries: name, mobile number, email (optional), city/place, age, sex (optional), your answers, time of submission, and technical timestamps.
Device/Usage Info: IP address, browser details, referral parameters (e.g., UTM), and server logs necessary for security and fairness.
Cookies/Local Storage:

A first-party cookie (e.g., nk_participant) storing your name/email/mobile so you can skip registration on the same device; set to expire shortly after the contest ends.
LocalStorage key (onam_mobile) to autofill your mobile on future visits (you can delete it anytime in your browser).

Optional AI Confirmation: If enabled, we may send limited content (your name, day, slot context) to a third-party AI service to generate a multilingual confirmation line.

2) Why We Use Your Data (Purposes)

Run the contest, render questions, validate time windows, and prevent duplicate/abusive entries.
Select hourly and daily winners, notify them, and deliver prizes.
Publish winners’ names/city (with your consent where required).
Security, debugging, and audit logs.
Legal compliance and record-keeping.

3) Legal Basis / Consent

We rely on your consent (when you submit the form) and our legitimate interests in running a fair, secure contest. Where applicable, we also process data to comply with law (e.g., tax/KYC). If you withdraw consent, we may retain limited data required by law or to resolve disputes.

4) Sharing & Transfers

Website & Forms: WordPress + Fluent Forms / FluentCRM to collect and manage entries and winner tags.
Hosting: [APC Hosting, Singapore] for site and database hosting (data may be processed outside India).
Optional AI: OpenAI (only if enabled) to generate the short confirmation message, receiving minimal context (name/day/slot).
Email/SMS: Our notification providers to contact winners.

We do not sell your personal data. We share only as needed to run the contest, comply with law, or protect rights.

5) Retention

Entries and logs are retained until the contest ends, winners are verified, prizes are delivered, and a short audit window elapses (typically up to 90 days after 07 Sep 2025), unless longer retention is required by law or for dispute resolution.
The nk_participant cookie is set to expire around 08 Sep 2025 23:59:59 IST. LocalStorage remains on your device until you clear it.

6) Your Rights

Subject to applicable law, you may access, correct, or delete your personal data, or withdraw consent for processing that relies on consent.
To exercise rights, email web@amritatv.com with your mobile number used in the contest and any relevant entry timestamp/slot to help us locate your record.

7) Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational controls appropriate to the nature of the contest. However, no system is 100% secure; transmission is at your own risk.

8) Children

The contest is intended for adults 18+. If you believe a minor’s data was submitted without appropriate consent, contact us at web@amritatv.com.

9) Changes

We may update this Policy. The “Effective date” will change, and material changes may be announced on-air/on-site.
